EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Awarded Two
4-Year Contracts with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

Hunt Valley, Maryland (9 October 2012)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded two new contracts with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Remediation Division for Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) engineering services in TCEQ’s Western and Eastern contracting regions.

Each of these contracts covers a 4-year period, and includes a 1-year renewal option. The Western Region contract has a potential value of $8 million, and EA will manage this work from its office in Lewisville, Texas, utilizing staff from Lewisville, as well as EA field operations in Lubbock, Texas. The maximum value of the Eastern Region contract is $6 million, and EA will also manage this contract from its Lewisville office, mobilizing staff located in both Lewisville and Houston, Texas.

Under these contracts, EA will provide remediation engineering and oversight services at leaking petroleum storage tank (LPST) sites under TCEQ’s State Lead Program, a program authorized to remediate situations where a release of petroleum poses a risk to human health and the environment. Release incident cases may involve responsible parties who are unwilling to conduct the necessary corrective action at an LPST site, or at “orphan” sites, where the responsible party is either nonexistent or financially unable to implement required corrective actions. These new contracts enable EA to continue providing the scope of services delivered under its previous two PST engineering services contracts with TCEQ.
