(EA), a leading provider of environmental, engineering, and program/construction management services, announced today that it has been awarded two separate contracts to provide environmental support services on an as-needed basis to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC).

The first contract is for Ecological Consulting Services, and encompasses the following services to be performed as-needed throughout the State of Delaware: ecological assessments, impact analysis, risk assessments, and restoration; natural resource inventories and similar studies; expert witness support; and ecological training and mapping.

Projects requiring services for investigation and remediation planning, remediation design, remedy implementation and oversight, and associated long-term stewardship activities will be performed as-needed under the second contract, Environmental Investigation and Remediation Services.

Both of these at-will contracts are for services provided through September 2012, and each offers two potential 1-year renewal options. EA will manage these projects from its office in Edgewood, Maryland, utilizing staff located in its network of six offices within the Mid-Atlantic region.

“EA has supported DNREC for more than 14 years on a wide variety of environmental projects,” said Ian MacFarlane, EA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are very pleased to continue applying EA’s technical expertise to support DNREC’s mission of ensuring the wise management, conservation, and enhancement of Delaware’s natural resources, and protecting public health and the environment.”
