RESPONSIBLE CARE® METRICS
American Chemistry Council
Beginning in 1988, the United States chemical industry, through the American Chemistry Council (ACC), has implemented Responsible Care®, a voluntary environmental management program to achieve improvements in environmental health and safety performance beyond the levels required by the United States government. As part of the Responsible Care® Program, ACC developed a set of industry performance measurements that are reported internally and publicly. In support of this effort, EA designed, developed, and is continuing to host and maintain ACC’s Responsible Care® Metrics Website. As part of this support, EA provides ACC and its Member and Partner companies with a direct contact to request system support and answer questions. Additionally, EA is also responsible for hosting, supporting, and maintaining ACC’s highly visible, public reporting website. The reporting website pages provide continuously updated information for ACC’s Responsible Care® Program for all of ACC’s members, which include several Fortune 500 companies.
