EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Continues to Expand Its Munitions Response Capabilities with the Hiring of Gene Barber
Hunt Valley, Maryland (8 April 2015)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, is pleased to announce the hiring of Gene Barber as a Program/Project Manager in its Denver, Colorado commercial office. In his position, Gene’s primary responsibility is to manage munitions response projects in the western portion of the country.
An exceptionally talented manager, Gene comes to EA with 27 years of experience directing large environmental programs and complex technical projects for federal and state agencies. Since 2000, his career has been focused on addressing environmental issues associated with military munitions. Most recently, Gene has been involved with executing munitions response remedial investigations (RIs) and removal actions (RAs). His deep experience also includes overseeing site inspections under the U.S. Army’s Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), evaluating sites for the U.S. Army National Guard’s Non-Department of Defense Owned, Non-Operational Defense Site (NDNODS) program, and assessing transferred ranges and munitions sites nationwide to determine their inclusion under the Formerly Used Defense Sites program (FUDS). In addition to the Department of Defense, Gene has successfully completed projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. National Park Service, and U.S. Bureau of Land Management. His state agency experience includes California, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
