EA’s Ecotoxicology Laboratory Accredited by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection

Hunt Valley, Maryland (25 April 2017)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that its ecotoxicology laboratory in Hunt Valley, Maryland, was recently approved as an accredited environmental laboratory under a program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for laboratories providing compliance testing for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits.

EA has long supported clients by performing acute and chronic toxicity testing with a variety of freshwater and saltwater vertebrate and invertebrate test species in full compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state regulatory guidelines. Our extensive experience includes industrial and municipal wastewaters, dredged materials, sediments, soils, new chemical products, and solid waste leachates. In addition to individual state certifications, EA’s laboratory is National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) accredited.

“Obtaining laboratory accreditation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania allows us to expand EA’s service offerings to our valued customers, as well as attract new business throughout the state,” said Wayne McCulloch, EA’s Ecotoxicology Laboratory Director. “It also demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the highest level of technical excellence and testing services to our clients.”
