EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Establishes Office in Portland, Oregon
Hunt Valley, Maryland (25 March 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today the opening of its newest office in Portland, Oregon. Establishing a presence in Portland serves to enhance EA’s regional coverage in the Pacific Northwest, and further expand its capabilities in water resource management.
EA’s Portland office will coordinate closely with the firm’s Seattle, Washington operations and will be managed by Phil Brown, a highly experienced hydrogeologist who specializes in water supply, storage, and resource management solutions for municipal and private clients. The technical focus of the office will be in the areas of aquifer recharge, aquifer storage and recovery, high capacity well systems, water rights and permitting, mitigation planning, wellhead protection studies, artificial recharge evaluations, environmental site characterization, and well and wellfield rehabilitation.
“Renowned for its collective environmental consciousness, Portland is a great place for EA to establish an office,” said Ian MacFarlane, EA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “As a public benefit corporation, EA’s focus is to improve the quality of the environment, so being in Oregon, with its strong environmental values, aligns nicely with EA’s growth plans.”
“As a company founded on the principles of responsible water stewardship, EA offers innovative solutions to water stress challenges faced throughout the western United States, which are exacerbated by current drought conditions. We have set ambitious goals for this office and with Phil Brown, a recognized industry leader at the helm, we look forward to achieving great success,” added Nimish Desai, Vice President and Director of EA’s Pacific Operations.
