Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 February 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) to provide environmental engineering services. The base period of the contract extends through June 2018, and allows for the term to be extended by two separate 1-year options.
Under this contract, EA will provide environmental engineering services to NDEQ on an as-needed basis. The broad range of services includes site assessments; groundwater monitoring evaluations; records review; report and plan preparation; remediation treatment system design, construction, operation, and maintenance; solid waste management studies and designs; technical document reviews; and program development activities. In addition, EA will be responsible for the health and safety of its workers and subcontractors, assuring the technical quality of all deliverables, providing for site security, and overseeing disposal of contaminated materials generated through the performance of work under task assignments. EA has provided the same services to NDEQ for the past 10 years under previous environmental engineering services contracts.
“This contract award is reflective of EA’s expertise in site characterization and remediation, our proven record of adherence to project delivery excellence, and our strong presence in Nebraska,” stated Dale Schlautman, P.E., Manager of EA’s Lincoln, Nebraska Operations. “We are honored to have this opportunity to continue our long history serving NDEQ in support of its mission to protect Nebraska’s air, land, and water resources.”
