EA’s Melissa Smith Inducted as a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers
Hunt Valley, Maryland (7 April 2011)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of environmental, engineering, and program/construction management services, announced today that Melissa Smith, EA’s Business Development Manager, was recognized for her outstanding service to the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and inducted into the Society’s prestigious Academy of Fellows on 24 March 2011 during a national ceremony in Arlington, Virginia.
Ian MacFarlane, EA's President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Melissa is well-deserving of this honor as she has been actively involved with SAME on both the local and national level since the early 1990s." Locally, Ms. Smith has held numerous leadership roles at the SAME Baltimore Post, including Post President. Nationally, she served as North Atlantic Regional Vice President and chaired SAME's National Dues Task Force which was responsible for restructuring the Society's membership platform. Her longstanding distinguished service to SAME has been recognized with many awards, most notably the Baltimore Post 2007 Service Award.
